The day we so often look forward to because it means happiness is only one night's sleep away. I have most Fridays off and I like to spend them in the most relaxing way possible...after all, I will need my energy for my wild wild west weekends!
So what do you wear on your Casual Fridays? Denim like most? Check out this cute little denim dress that we shot MONTHS ago (and I'm just getting it up to y'all because I'm always tardy to the party. Thank God this dress is still availible at BooHoo and it's less than $25 now! You can thank me later.
I paired this hot little number with these Steve Madden open toe, lace up booties because, I'm BEYOND ready for fall. It's been a rainy, hot summer here in New Orleans and I can't wait for cooler days and cozier clothes.
Have you started planning your fall wardrobe yet?!
I'm not quite sure how it's done in the rest of the world, but in New Orleans? We like to PARTAY! I know most festivals are over by this point, but the fall festival season in NOLA is just revving up. I mean, Seafood Fest, VOODOO Fest, and the Fried Chicken Fest are literally just around the corner.
Dressing for a festival in the spring is totes easy: shorts, crops, booties, fun jewelry and you're done! However, sometimes dressing for a festival in the fall can be a little bit more difficult. I partnered up with a old friend of mine (Heyy Dee!) to shoot some a fun look for fall festival season.
I'm so obsessed with this slinky black maxi I got from ShopBop! It's long enough to keep you warm during cooler nights, but the high slit on the side still allows a little air to flow through there. I paired it with a super cool necklace scarf from Forever 21, a kimono, and of course my favorite festival shoe, low-top Converse Chuck Taylors.

Today we're going to try something new, that literally just popped in my mind when I woke up at like 7:30 this morning and have been wired on coffee since then. I wanted a section to cover trends that are going on in the world these days and thus #TrendTuesdaywithFF was born.
Today's trends? Let's take a look at these super stylish Olympic athletes.
Like most Americans for the past 2 weeks, I've been tuning in every night to watch the USA dominate in most of the Olympic Games (I see you Simone Biles & Simone Manuel)! However, I don't only watch the games, I love seeing the lady athletes look so strong, so powerful and so feminine at the same time with a hint of glitter eyeliner or extravagant nails while they're killing it in their respective sport. Let's take at some of the best beauty and fashion moments I've spotted so far:
USA's Gabby Douglas is gorgeous in a fierce matte lip.
Brazil's Jaqueline Endres' in a high flying Sectioned Pony.
USA's Laurie Hernandez's strong brow and clean cat eye.
USA's Simone Manuel with tears of joy & a squoval red, white, and blue manicure.
USA's Alyson Felix with super tidy, super cute micro braids.
USA's Aly Raisman's to die for top-knot.
Puerto Rico's Mónica Puig's french braid is perfection.
Other than the Gold Medal, obvi, what's been your favorite Olympic Style?!
Mid-July, I took my booty on down to Miami for Swim Week 2016 and let's just say their language of choice down there is definitely Spanish! Language barrier aside, I literally had the time of my life and met so many great people.
I've been super inspired ever since. In addition to running this blog (yaknow, in my spare time), I am a stylist/social media gal the rest of the time. I work for New Orleans Fashion Week as a production assistant, but I wanted to expand this impressive (ha!) resume of mine and take my talents down to South Beach.
Upon arrival, I checked with TAA PR (the company I was working under) and started off with minimal tasks: checking PRESS in, seating guests, etc. It wasn't until the second day of me being there that I received a little more responsibility. I was asked to work different shows checking in special guests. I'm talking like big time bloggers, to CEOs to brands we all know and love. I loved networking and people watching all the different styles and I'd like to say I left with some new knowledge and new friends.
Enough of my jibber-jabber, check out my short clip from Miami Swim Week's FUNKSHION TENT!
Happy Monday, y'all and don't forget it's never to late to start following your dreams!
